PATCH-UP SOUTH AFRICA

Patch-Up South Africa is dedicated to catalyzing a positive and substantial transformation in marginalized communities, particularly in townships and rural areas. Our primary focus is on vulnerable populations grappling with poverty, ill-health, unemployment, restricted access to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities. In aiming to build sustainable communities we use a holistic approach. The marginalized communities we serve are plagued by an influx of homelessness drug abuse, GBV, and unemployment. These issues contribute to the degeneration of these communities and we see these challenges filtering down to the younger population of these communities, and therefore, we further our programs to adolescent and young people to implement harm prevention initiatives.  Our overarching goal is to tackle past traumas, rectifying imbalances, and alleviate prevailing economic and social challenges.

Quote

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

"There is nothing new about poverty. What is new however, is that we have the resources to get rid of it."
